Jordan Taylor is a factory driver for Corvette Racing and has been part of two consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Series GTLM season championships (2020-2021). He also won the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Taylor was also the 2017 DPi IMSA series champion driving for his father’s Wayne Taylor Racing program. He made his professional debut in 2008 and since his first full-time season in 2011 has recorded 30 overall or class wins in the United States, including three wins in the Rolex 24 At Daytona and two wins in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Taylor won the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans driving with Corvette Racing.
In addition to being a championship driver, Taylor is well known on social media for his hysterical alter ego, Rodney Sandstorm, a Jeff Gordon super fan, and his creative and often self-deprecating humor. Jordan is the younger brother of championship driver Ricky Taylor, and the son of sports car racing icon and IMSA championship team owner Wayne Taylor.
Growing up close to Orlando in Apopka, Fla., Jordan and Ricky claim both Daytona and Sebring as home tracks. Even more than Daytona, Sebring was a regular stop for the Taylor boys as they rose through the amateur ranks and into what is today the premier sports car racing series in the world. Despite their success, the Taylors are among the most approachable drivers in the paddock for fans and enjoy interacting with racing enthusiasts and fun-loving partyers wherever they race. |
